WE HAVE LIFT OFF

It was very satisfying to see around 100 people crowded into Kiama Library last Saturday for the first of our book launches for Out of Latvia. Most were locals but I had friends from Sydney and the Blue Mountains who made the journey.

Tahlia Newland, my author and publisher introduced Peter and myself. I spoke about how I met met Peter on our charity bike ride and my motivation for writing the his story. Peter gave the attentive listeners a taste of the book, quoting the part where he lands in Moscow, sees the Russian military on the tarmac and refuses to leave the aircraft.
