MY FAVOURITE IN-FLIGHT MOVIE...

The Music of Strangers is the extraordinary story of renowned musical collective The Silk Road Ensemble created by legendary cellist Yo-yo Ma. My review - a visual and auditory feast, celebrating the diversity of culture; a cacophony of instruments from Jordan, Iran. Israel, China, and Spain.

Passion and sensitivity flow from the soul. Energy explodes with sensuous rawness. Their willingness to listen and learn from each other creates a unique and powerful symphony. Yet each also brings what lies between the notes.

Their acceptance and respect of each other challenges the divisive, racist competitiveness infecting our world.

What a refreshing preparation as we place our feet on Middle Eastern soil.
