Have you read The Lemon Tree?

A moving Arab/Jewish story set in the aftermath of the 1948 war.

The stone house in Ramle at the centre of this true story is now managed by the Rossing Centre. Chris and I visited the property and heard more of the work amongst women and children.

Sarah Bernstein, the Director of the Rossing Centre reported recently,

"The Women's Group at the Open House in Ramle also continued its shared learning process throughout the month. Participants explored stories of Ethiopian immigration to Israel and the reality of the unrecognized Bedouin villages in the Negev, reflected on questions of gender across different religious and cultural traditions, and took part in an interfaith tour of a church, mosque, and synagogue in Ramle. For many participants, it was the first time they had visited a house of worship outside their own faith - an experience they described as both moving and meaningful."

Just one of the initiatives of the Rossing Centre to build strong relationships between Arab and Jew.
