Why do I love history? The common threads that draw me to the past, are a fascination with different eras, significant events, or the lives of remarkable individuals. I am curious about our origins and how the past has shaped the present.

My exploration includes not only major political and social shifts but also cultural movements, technological advancements, and everyday life in different periods. I believe the richness and diversity of human experience throughout time offer endless avenues for exploration and learning.

Understanding the past provides valuable context for the present, helping us to comprehend current challenges and opportunities. It can also foster critical thinking skills and a broader perspective on humanity.

My recent reading of 'History for Tomorrow' by Roman Krznaric bears witness to the value and enjoyment of unpacking the past that gives direction for the future.
