SERENITY

A bright moment on a dull day was a visit to Peter Izzard’s beautiful photographic exhibition in Fern St Gallery, Gerringong. Peter captures images wherever he wanders.

The twelve landscapes on display capture solitude by sea and land, reflecting his recent adventures in 2018 to Canada and Scotland.

This image of a South Coast forest depicts the devastation caused by the bushfires of the summer of 2020 … but they also display the promise of hope.

Peter said a woman stood gazing at the photo for some time as tears welled up in her eyes. She said, “It took me back to that terrible day when my husband left to fight the fires, and I didn’t know if he’d return … he did! I love the image … it speaks of hope.”

The exhibition is open 10am - 4pm daily until Sunday May 9th.
